Our Story

A family shop, not a warehouse

Etched & Co. started in a Chicago workshop with one laser and a stubborn belief: a personalised gift should outlast the occasion it was bought for. Too much of what passes for personalisation today is a sticker, a print, or a transfer that gives up after a few trips through the dishwasher.

We engrave instead. The mark is cut into the material itself, so it cannot peel, fade or wash off. That takes better machines and more care per piece, and it means we make fewer things than a print shop would — but the things we make are still there in twenty years.

Everything happens here

We run our own lasers, our own presses and our own printers. We stock our materials locally rather than ordering them in per job, which is the real reason most orders ship the same or next business day. Personalised should not mean slow.

Picky on purpose

Every piece is checked by hand before it is packed. If the engraving is not clean, it does not ship — we cut another one. That is the whole quality process, and it is not complicated.
